KARACHI: As according President Asif Ali Zardari, the government is making every attempt to ensure peace and stability in Karachi, which is important for the country’s economic economic growth.

He pledged that the country’s next elections would be held on schedule and that militants, sectarian organizations, and anti-democratic forces would not be allowed to rig the vote by instilling a feeling of law and order.

The president made these comments during an event on Tuesday to launch many development projects across Sindh. The ceremony was held at the CM House.

These efforts, according to a press release, are designed to enhance the province’s infrastructure and offer housing and health services to Sindh’s communities who have been adversely effected by floods and rain.

The president specifically referred to the law and order situation in Karachi and stated that the government, together with its supporters and other stakeholders, was trying to maintain peace and stability in the city by following the reconciliatory strategy.

He asserted that the government was making each effort to maintain long peace and stability in Karachi, including expanding the civilian parts of the police departments institutions.

The president said that the government’s mandate was about to expire and emphasized that the nation’s upcoming elections will occur on plan.

The Township Scheme in Karachi was an example of the projects that was officially opened on this occasion. The president hailed the Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, the Minister of Housing Ayaz Soomro, and other members of the Benazir Housing Cell for their accomplishment. The president pledged that the government will keep forging ahead with its objectives for socioeconomic growth and to assist the nation’s vulnerable.

The development of infrastructure and the supply of decent housing and health care for the populace, according to him, have been given top priority by the present govt while pursuing its development agenda during the past five years. To carry out the promises the PPP government had given to the nation’s citizens, all of the projects that have been officially launched and numerous additional that will be finished immediately.

On this occasion, he also revealed the Benazir Shaheed Housing Project’s Township Scheme in Karachi and laid the core tenets for the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway from Garho to Shah Bundar, District Headquarters Healthcare facilities in Dadu, and Emergency Trauma Centers at the taluka level in Badin and Shikarpur.

The president, according to the spokesperson, recalled the offering of free and low cost housing for the needy and stated that the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Township Scheme in Karachi, which provides housing facilities for the Sindhi destitute families, depicted the fulfilment of yet another promise. He stated that the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Housing Programme has started the housing and plot projects and gave the guarantee that plots will also be given to deserving families in other districts throughout Sindh.

The president declared that the current democratic government’s guiding principles had been the liberation of the poor and the decrease in poverty in connection to the government’s pro-poor efforts. The vision of our visionary leaders Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto serves as our guide in this regard, he said. Roti, Kapra Aur Makan is a commitment rather than simply a phrase. He referred to the different projects that were inaugurated on Tuesday as a notable achievement of the Sindhi government.

As stated by the president, the administration is working hard to carry out Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto’s promises to every person, particularly the nation’s truly needy and weakest, to offer Roti, Kapra, and Makan.

As according him, the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Housing Cell was established by the government to assist the impoverished with housing and other life necessities. The cell, according to the president, was entrusted with constructing 6,500 cheap houses in 23 areas that would be given away for free to the poor.

The president stated during a ceremony at the Hyderabad Press Club to distribute ownership certificates and keys for newly built homes built as part of the Behan Benazir Basti (Benazir Housing Program) that giving homes to Sindh’s poor people is the fulfilment of yet another promise.

He stated that distributing ownership certificates for affordable homes to the lowest of the impoverished households as part of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Housing Program gives him a tremendous deal of satisfaction.

The president stated that the democratic administration remained loyal to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision.
